Your Dutch Way - Privacy & Cookie statement
Since 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been in force throughout the European Union. This legislation regulates how personal data is collected, used and protected.
When you visit my website www.yourdutchway.nl, make an appointment in my agenda, contact me, or participate in one of my services, you share personal data with me. I handle this data with care. In this privacy and cookie statement you can read which information I collect, why I collect it and how it is used.
I am Maayke Griffioen. Your Dutch Way collects personal data from people who visit the website, fill in the contact form, contact me by email or phone, make an appointment directly in the agenda, or participate in a training or webinar.
My company, Your Dutch Way, is located at Nico Steenvoordenstraat 23 in Noordwijk, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 88672751, and is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy statement.

This privacy statement applies to all interaction between you and Your Dutch Way.
The data that Your Dutch Way collects when you make an appointment or use a service includes:
Email address, name, phone number and your message.
Your Dutch Way uses your personal data for direct marketing only when you have given your explicit consent. You can withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time.
www.yourdutchway.nl contains social media buttons from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn and possible other links to third party websites, such as my appointment scheduling tool (Calendly), webinar platform (Zoom) and payment provider (Plug and Pay). The privacy policy of the specific platform applies to that service and not to this statement.
Your Dutch Way uses Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising services. With your consent, Meta technologies such as the Meta Pixel may be used to measure the effectiveness of advertisements, understand website usage and show relevant advertisements to people who have previously visited this website.
Your Dutch Way collects the following information from customers:
Name, address, company (if relevant), phone number and email address.
Information that is relevant for the training, such as starting date, payment information and previous participation.
For webinars hosted via Zoom, participant information may be processed to facilitate the webinar. Your Dutch Way does not use Zoom to store personal data longer than necessary. Webinars are not recorded unless participants are informed in advance.
The purpose of data collection by Your Dutch Way:
• Administration for trainings and services
• Processing payments
• Sending information by email, including tips about learning Dutch
• Staying in touch with former customers
• Improving the website, services and communication
• Measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns
Your Dutch Way processes personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds:
• Your consent
• The performance of a contract
• Compliance with legal obligations
• Legitimate interests, such as improving my website, services and communication
Your Dutch Way does not collect special personal data, such as information about religion or ethnic origin.
Your Dutch Way does not sell personal data to third parties. However, when necessary to provide my services or when you have given your consent, certain information may be processed by trusted service providers such as Meta (for advertising), Calendly (appointment scheduling), Zoom (online webinars) and payment providers.
These providers process personal data according to their own privacy policies.
All information is protected and is not accessible by unauthorized people. Topics that may come up during coaching sessions are treated as confidential.
People who are on the mailing list can easily unsubscribe at any time by sending an email to [email protected] or by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing or request data portability where applicable. Requests can be sent to [email protected].
To submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), you can fill in the form on their website.
Cookies

Your Dutch Way uses functional, tracking and social media related cookies. By placing cookies, I can make the structure, navigation and content of my website as user friendly as possible.
Functional cookies are used to make this website function as well as possible. These cookies are necessary for the functioning of the website. They are used to store settings for an optimal display, read browser settings to display the website correctly on your screen and ensure that the website remains accessible.
Tracking cookies, including the Meta Pixel, help measure website visits and the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They may also be used to show relevant advertisements on Facebook and Instagram to previous website visitors.
Social media related cookies, such as those from Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook, may be placed through social media buttons. Cookies that are not necessary are only placed after you have given permission through the cookie banner.
Personal data is not kept longer than necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement or to comply with legal obligations.
Validity of this Statement
This Statement applies to my website www.yourdutchway.nl and my associated services.
Please note that I always have the right to change this Statement. Publication of a new version makes all previous versions invalid.
The effective date for the validity of this Statement is June 1st 2023.
